Congratulations to Haruka Mitsuhashi (PhD student supervised by Gustavo Turecki and Corina Nagy) and Christa Hercher (PhD student supervised by Naguib Mechawar) for obtaining the Dr. Holly Carsley Memorial Award, which recognizes the outstanding work of a Douglas resident, postdoctoral fellow or doctoral student pursuing research in the area of depression and suicide. Each recipient was awarded a prize of $1,000. The goal of the Award is to stimulate young researchers to perform high quality research that has the potential to prevent depression and suicide, and improve diagnosis and treatment of depression.
